Artist's Description
The sunsets in the Mohave Desert are special. On this evening the sky was filtered by smoke of fires in California. This photo was taken on the Arizona side of the Colorado River at Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Canon PowerShot sx60HS photo not photoshopped.
About John West Images
John West has traveled in all 50 states, has lived in a few, and traveled to several countries, too. The Western USA is his home base. Kayaking rivers and lakes brings John into contact with birds and wildlife in settings conducive to exceptional photography. John lived and worked at Grand Canyon National Park and volunteers at several National Wildlife Refuges along the Colorado River, his photography has been featured in birding brochures, National Park Service kiosks, National Wildlife publications and Arizona Game and Fish calendar.
